Begging for Life is the sixteenth Usogui and the seventh chapter of Volume 2.

Summary[]

The struggle, both physical and mental to win, has started. Q-Tarou sees that Rodem has injured his foot and explains that he saw Kaji dropping caltrops while he was running, asking Rodem to proceed carefully. Baku then tells him that becoming Leader of Kakerou is something impossible for him. After a while, Kokonoe realizes that the pen was set by Baku to wiretap his conversations, from the orders to the explanation of his ambition, he heard it all.

Furious about this, Kokonoe threatens Yakou for an explanation but Yakou answers that since there are no more rules than "leave the building with the money", he can behave as he pleases. Kokonoe forces Rodem to rush towards Baku and Kaji. While running, Rodem defends himself with a corpse against an explosive trap, then throws the corpse against a cable trap that slices it.

Kokonoe makes Rodem stop and give Usogui a handkerchief while telling him to wipe the blood with the handkerchief.
